HOME SUPPORT

Many adults with learning and developmental disabilities who require professional support to ensure their daily wellness and safety on an ongoing basis to give them the right level of independence in a community of their peers.

A good number of adults with learning and developmental disabilities are capable of living in their communities independently in their own homes without support from family, friends, or professionals. At Noble Care, we know there are a select group of individuals who require professional support to ensure their daily wellness and safety. This is why we decided to offer our residents Home Support Services.

Noble Care’s wide range of options are designed and delivered with one very focused goal: to improve and maintain our residents’ ability to live as independently as possible in their homes.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work with individuals and their caretakers in agency-managed residential group or private homes in York and Cumberland counties in Maine.

WHAT ARE HOME SERVICES?

Whether you decide to receive care in a private home or an agency-managed apartment setting, our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) will carefully and expertly coordinate care based on the individual's needs. Each of our services are scheduled throughout the week in pre-determined blocks of time.

Our residential group homes are staffed up to 24-hours a day and designed to support various levels and types of needs. Services support across medical, dietary, and behavioral needs that are carefully identified and fall into three categories:

SELF-CARE AND SELF-MANAGEMENT

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND WELL-BEING

DAILY LIVING SKILLS TRAINING

Essential skills include maintaining personal hygiene, meal preparation, managing their finances, and more.

BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT

Behavior management programs and individualized plans are designed to address challenges generally associated with various Autism levels with a positive approach.

SOCIALIZATION AND COMMUNITY INTEGRATION

Residents are encouraged to interact and build relationships with peers, staff, and the community through various activities, outings, and social opportunities. Individuals are encouraged to build social skills, foster a sense of belonging, and increase their overall well-being.

MEDICAL AND THERAPEUTIC SERVICES

Therapeutic and medical services may include assistance with medication management, ordering, administering, and storing per the state of Maine and their medical professionals regulations.

ARE YOU Eligible FOR HOME SERVICES?

An individual must be enrolled in and have MaineCare and Section 21 or 29 funding through the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Aging and Disability Services to be eligible to work with Noble Care’s home support services.
